How would you describe yourself?
I’m a hard-working 1st grade teacher by day and a fun-loving Origami Owl Independent Designer by night (and weekends). I’m equally passionate about both!
How long have you been involved in your business?
I’ve been an Origami Owl Independent Designer for over a year.
What keeps you motivated?
My customers and the new products continue to keep me motivated. It’s my fun job and allows me to meet so many wonderful people. Developing new relationships and making new friends is incredibly rewarding
Tell us a little about your family.
I’m a furmom of a sweet doggie and an auntie to 4 nephews and 1 niece.
How do you prioritize family and your business?
I make sure to schedule time for both family and business activities. It’s nice to manage my own business schedule to fit around my family.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I see myself continuing to mentor a wonderful group of ladies who will have their own teams by then. I also see myself being debt-free!
Biggest life lesson learned?
Change is inevitable, good, and necessary…but it’s still not my favorite thing ever. Good thing I have great friends and family who support me every step of the way!
Biggest lesson you’ve learned in business?
To not just be likable, but trustworthy: “If people like you, they’ll listen to you. But if they trust you, they’ll do business with you.” ~Zig Ziglar
What is your secret to success?
I’ve learned to focus on customer service and to let the product speak for itself. I don’t try to talk someone into buying a locket. I absolutely love my locket and am excited when the feeling is mutual!
All Entrepreneurs encounter bad days. How do you handle yours?
I learn from them and shrug it off as part of having a business. Bad days are just a part of life.
What was your sweetest success story?
I feel most successful when I can help others succeed. Currently, I’m feeling proud of the ladies on my team who are doing so well. They’re finding success in generating income they didn’t expect to by selling jewelry and building their own teams.
How do you relax?
My downtime usually includes either a movie or social media, but I’ll occasionally go for a massage. My all-time favorite way to relax is to head to the beach with a latte and just listen to the waves crash and breath some fresh air.
Do you send out a monthly newsletter?
Yes, it’s a great way for my customers to stay updated on the latest Origami Owl news and products.
