How would you describe yourself?
I am a hard working girl that loves to travel! I work with children with special needs during the day and own my own LuLaRoe boutique nights and weekends. I love to help people and make people feel good about themselves inside and out!
How long have you been involved in your business?
A year and a half.
What is your why?
My why is so that I have the ability to feed my Wanderlust soul and devote more time and money to charities that I believe in!
Tell us a little about your family.
I am single with no children, I am very close with my sister and mother. My father passed away a few years ago now we are closer than ever.
How do you prioritize family and your business?
I am very close with my family and they are very supportive of my business. I am so lucky to have the support and help from them.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Married with kids and hopefully still able to both work as a speech therapist as well as selling LuLaRoe!
What keeps you motivated?
My amazing customers! If I have a hard day I am reminded that my hard work pays off!
Biggest life lesson learned?
That you can’t plan everything. Sometimes you have to just roll with the punches! Life has a funny way of working itself out.
Biggest lesson you’ve learned in business?
To be true to my values. It’s not always about making the most sales, it’s about making personal connections with each customer.
What is your secret to success?
Always doing the right thing, pushing myself when I am tired, taking breaks when I need them and loving what you do!
All entrepreneurs encounter bad days. How do you handle yours?
I take 5 minutes, cry it out, shake it off, then remember everything happens for a reason and try to look at the brighter side of the situation.
What was your sweetest success story?
Last Christmas I was able to fill up an entire car of toys for the Toys For Tots drive I was having. That was the first time I was able to donate more than a toy or 2.
How do you relax?
What are your most popular products?
The buttery soft leggings are what we are known for but my all time favorite style is the Amelia dress. It is perfect for any event you may have, work, church or dinner! And it has pockets!!
What are your favorite business tools? What business apps, products, and tools do you use daily to run your business/life efficiently? What could you not function without?
Facebook! I also use Shipping Easy, Amazon Prime, Vista Print for all my cards and notepads. So many other great products as well!
Any advice you have for other women who want to start their own business?
Plan it out financially, know that like any business and in home business takes time to establish. It also takes a lot to start up! Be present!! You need to post daily, meet new contacts and network constantly. It is not always easy, but it is sure fun!!
For direct sellers: Please finish this sentence: If it wasn’t for my direct sales business, I wouldn’t have been able to…pay off some of my credit cards all still while traveling and living my life to the fullest!
